For all fans of the Rubáiyát, Edward FitGerald and indeed for those who don’t know anything about this 900 year old poem, it’s authors and translations!  This blog will keep you up to date with new happenings relating to the Rubaiyat – books, art works, exhibitions, lectures, research, and much more.

The blog’s creators are Bill Martin and Sandra Mason, independent scholars of the Rubáiyát and Chairs of the Friends of the Ancient India and Iran Trust.

    Dear Everyone, Has any poet, author, expert or lover of these quatrains… noted the possible source of the Insights, Intuitions common to both Omar Khayyam and Edward FitzGerald as springing from ‘Salutation of The Dawn’ by Kalidasa ? as such I feel is the case.
