The Ancient India and Iran Trust offers small grants to scholars wishing to come to Cambridge and use the Trust’s library. Successful applicants receive up to £500 towards their travel and accommodation costs. Applications should be in writing and accompanied by a CV, briefly outlining the nature and purpose of the research you wish to carry out and any foreseeable outcomes of this work, the proposed dates of your stay and a detailed estimate of your costs. Your application and CV should each be no longer than two sides. Contact details for two referees should also be provided.

To avoid unnecessary delays in processing applications, please ensure that you have provided all the required information. Your estimate of costs should be as specific as possible, including details of any other funding you have or are seeking. Payment of grants will only be made on production of receipts.
